Art Journey Julia Borg Exhibition Statement

One particularly touching moment was associated with her son's artistic contribution, which marked the beginning of a new approach characterized by subtle and hooked brushstrokes.

The first year of motherhood, with its trials and triumphs, is acutely depicted through a myriad of emotions expressed in bright shades and contrasting tones in the Mosaic series. From the clarity sought during pregnancy to the changing landscapes and seascapes inspired by the participation of her growing child, each piece reflects the artist's intimate journey of self-discovery and femininity.

The exhibition focuses on two significant works of 2024: "Towards Tomorrow" and "Bonded Wings". These works symbolize unity and progressive momentum, embodying the deep bond between mother and child.

The "Art Journey" invites viewers to reflect on the diverse phases of the maternal journey and the enduring connection that transcends time and space. Through this exhibition, the artist highlights the importance of creativity during times of uncertainty, showing how art heals and restores balance, fostering the courage to take new steps forward in one's destiny.
